Aate Ka namkeen Halwa

It is a delicious traditional Indian dish, that has been forgotten by people of this present generation. Many have not even tasted this. This dish is absolutely healthy tradition recipe made with very few easily available ingredients , popular hot Monsoon dish which goes so well in rainy weather. In earlier time when food was made of simple ingredients, this was one of the dish commonly used as snack.

Aate ka namkeen Halwa has aromatic blissful taste and can be served in breakfast and as a evening snack.

I am sure you would be happy to give it a try to cook this recipe in your kitchen and relish with your family.

Ingredients-

  • 1 Cup Wheat flour

  • 2 tab Sp. Gram flour

  • 2 tab Sp. Desi Ghee or butter

  • 1 tsp. Carom seed or Ajwaian

  • 1 tsp. Green Chili finely chopped

  • 1 tab Sp. Coriander leaves finely chopped

  • 1/4 tsp. Red chili powder [optional]

  • 1 tab Sp. Lemon Juice

  • 4-5 cups Boiled Water

  • Some fried dry nuts like cashew nuts and pea nuts

  • Salt to taste

How To make-

  1. In a pan heat ghee or butter, add ajwaian, chopped green chili and saute for 1 minute.

  2. Add wheat flour, gram flour and roast on low flame till dark brown. It takes 10 to 15 minutes time.

  3. Add boiled water and churn with spatula very well to make smooth paste.

  4. Add lemon juice, red chili powder and mix well.

  5. Keep moving spatula until the water is evaporated.

  6. Garnish with chopped coriander and roasted dry nuts.

Step By Step Recipe Of Aate ka namkeen Halwa-
