Almond Sweet potato Smoothie


A vagan, gluten free simple recipe, perfect for fasting or upvas. Bland boiled sweet potato, apple, cold milk, and smoothie is ready. This smoothie is loaded with healthy ingredients and give you the desired energy.

A small sweet potato will give you approximately half cup puree. Sweet potato and has a natural sweetener and apple are also used, so you do not need to add sugar. I add maple syrup because it is my favorite. You can add sugar or honey if you want to add some sweetener.

Preparation time- 15 minutes for boiling sweet potato

Cooking time 5 minutes

Total time 20 minutes

ingredients-

Unsweetened Almond Milk------------------- 1 Cup

Boiled sweet potato ------------------------------1/2 Cup

Apple ---------------------------------------------------1/2 Cup

Maple Syrup-------------------------------------------1 Tsp.

Coco Powder-------------------------------------------2 t Sp.

Ice cubes-------------------------------------------------3-4

How to Make-

  1. Peel boiled sweet potato and apple, cut into small pieces.

  2. In a blander add boiled sweet potato and apple and make a fine puree.

  3. Add rest of ingredients and blend very well.

  4. Pour in a glass and garnish with coconut powder and almond shavings.

Tips-

  1. You can take milk of your choice like coconut milk, cow milk etc.

  2. If you do not use coco powder in fasting add 1/4 t Sp. cinnamon powder.

  3. You can add honey or sugar instead of maple syrup.
