Amla Beetroot Mukhwas or Mouth Freshner-

Mukhwas is a digestive aid and generally made with fennel seeds, Coriander dal coconut, and sesame seeds. They are great post meal mouth freshener. In Indian cuisine mukhwas or saunf is served after meal. All Indian restaurants serve fennel seeds (saunf) at the exit door.

Mukhwas freshens the mouth and is full of minerals and vitamins. Chewing mukhwas activates pancreatic and intestinal enzyme and fat and sugar metabolism. supporting better bowel movement and growth rate of good bacteria.

Amla [Indian Gooseberry] Beetroot Mukhwas is a super healthy super tasty mouth freshener which helps our body’s immune and digestive system. Amla and Beetroot as mukhwas are in their tastiest form. Ingredients-

  • Beetroot- 1

  • Amla -10

  • Black salt to taste

  • Sugar- 3 tbsp

  • Black pepper- 2 tsp.

Method-

1.Wash and dry Amlas and beet root and grate them.

2. Add black salt, sugar and black pepper.

3.Spread this mix covered with thin cloth and sun dry for 3 to 4 days until totally dry or crisp.

4. Store in air tight container.

Tips- 1. You can adjust quantity of salt and sugar as per your taste.

2. Properly dried mukhwas will remain fresh for a year.

Step By Step Recipe Of Beetroot Mukhwas or Freshener-

1.Wash and dry Amlas and beet root, grate both of them.

2.Mix black salt, sugar and black pepper.

3.Spread this mix on a big flat plate, cover it with a thin cloth and keep it in sunlight for 3 to 4 days until it totally dry or crisp.

4. Store in air tight container.
