Baked katori Chat For Fasting

Ingredients- For Katori- Singade ka Aatta-11/2 cup Oil-1/4 cup Rock Salt-to taste Black Pepper powder-1 tsp. Jeera-1/2 tsp Dry Pudina powder- 1 tsp. Oil for greasing Filling- Potato-2 Sweet Potato-2 Green chilly finely chopped-1 tsp Coriander leaves finely chopped-1 tbsp Ground nut- 1/2 cup Green chutney Sweet Khajoor chutney Potato chips for garnishing

  1. How to Make- For Katori- Combine all the ingredients of katori and mix well, Knead into soft dough using little water.

  2. Make small balls and roll out each ball between two plastic sheets.

  3. Place on a greased pan cake mould. Prick with fork. Bake in a preheated oven at 160 degree for 8 to 10 minutes.

For Filling-

  1. Roast Groundnut with little oil, salt and black pepper in Microwave at medium temperature for 3 min.Chop potatoes and Sweet potatoes into small pieces.

  2. Mix chat masala, green chili, green chutney, add some chopped coriander leaves and mix well.

  3. Arrange the Katoris on a plate; fill all katoris with filling, top with roasted groundnut, green and sweet khajur chutney, garnish with coriander leaves and homemade potato chips. you can add beaten curd on top .

Tips-


  1. Baked Katoris can be made in advance and stored in air tight container in the fridge. Just before serving warm them up in microwave and fill them with filling and serve.

  2. You can also fry the Katori, While frying a katori Grease a katori, roll the dough in a circle, place katori in the center and wrap the dough around it, drop the katori wrapped with dough and fry it.
