Beetroot Laddoo-

Beetroot is a healthy vegetable, generally used in salad adding colour but this is my own version where beetroot is a main ingredient in a dessert.


ingredients-

  • Beetroot- 250 gm.

  • Milk- 1/2 liter

  • Milk made-2tab sp.

  • Milk Powder-1-2 tab so..

  • Masala Milk powder 1tab sp.

  • Coconut desiccated - 2tabsp.

  • Ghee- 1 tab sp.[optional]

How to Make-

  1. Grate beetroot finely.

  2. Boil grated beetroot with 1/2 cup water.

  3. In a pan add grated beetroot with water [do not discard water ]and saute for 10 minutes on low flame or till the water evaporate.

  4. Add milk and cook till beetroot gets tender.

  5. Add condense milk and cook till the mixture is turning thick.

  6. Add Masala milk powder, milk powder, and mix well.

  7. Add ghee.

  8. Cook till the mixture turn thick and sticky.

  9. Switch off the flame and cool down the mixture.

  10. Grease your palm make a round laddoo and roll out Laddoo in desiccated coconut.

  11. Garnish with a sweet cherry or chopped almonds and coconut.

Tips-

1. You can keep these beetroot laddoos in the refrigerator for one week.

2.Adjust the sugar quantity as per your taste. Even you add dry nuts of your choice.
