Dry Green Peas laddoo

Green Peas Ladoos are made with freshly roasted dry green peas flour, dry nuts, and fresh homemade ghee. These laddoos are not only delicious but very nutritious high protein laddoos that can be packed for the kid's snack boxes and take when you are feeling low. These are quick and easy to make ladoo and made with few ingredients. You can make them for your guests on short notice. Give these quick ladoos a try this Diwali festival. They are ready under 15 minutes.

Ingredients-

  • 1 cup Dry green peas

  • 1/2 cup Ghee

  • 3/4 cup Sugar Powder

  • 8 Almonds finely chopped

  • 1/4 cup Phool makhana roughly chopped

  • 1 tab Sp. melon seeds

  • 8-10 risen [optional]

  • Green cardamom powde1/2 t Sp.

How to Make-

  1. In a microwave, dry roast green peas on low heat, for 2 minutes or add in a heavy bottom pan and dry roast till crisp and releases the roasted aroma. Allow it to cool.

  2. Add in a small jar of mixer grinder and grind into a fine powder.

  3. Heat little ghee in a heavy bottom Kadai and fry Phool makhana and keep aside.

  4. Add chopped almonds and melon seeds and fry them.

  5. Add ghee and roast the green peas powder on low heat till the mixture leaves the sides and an aroma arises.

  6. Add fried nuts and mix well. Remove from heat. Cool down.

  7. Mix sugar very well with hand.

  8. Take lemon-sized balls of the mixture in your hand and press it with both hands. and shape into laddoos.

  9. Garnish them with pistachios and chopped almonds.

  10. Store in an airtight container for a few days and longer in the refrigerator.

Tips-

  1. If you are vegan you can make this ladoo with coconut oil.

  2. Always roast on low flame.

  3. Add sugar when the mixture is perfectly cool down.

  4. You can refrigerate them and preserve for up-to one month and heat in the microwave for 20 seconds on low heat, it will become fresh.
