Egg less Swiss Roll CAKE


A Swiss roll, jam cake roll or cream cake roll is a type of sponge cake roll filled with whipped cream, jam, or icing. If you love swiss roll cakes, try this delicious, moist, soft and incredibly simple cake roll recipe. This cake rolls look complicated, but they are actually quite easy to make. The ingredients are easily available in your kitchen and make in only one pot. You can make your own Swiss roll with fruity strawberry cream filling or chocolate icing or peanut butter filling.

Ingredients-

Maida----------------------1 cup

Baking Powder---------1 t Sp.

Baking Soda-------------1/3 t Sp.

Butter----------------------2 tab Sp.

Oil---------------------------2 tab Sp.

Powdered sugar-------1/4 cup

Condense milk---------1/2 cup

Milk-------------------------1/2 cup

Apple cider Vinegar---1 tab Sp.

Vanilla essence----------1 t Sp.

Jam for filling

How to Make-

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees F and Grease baking tray with cooking spray and then cover with parchment paper and then grease the parchment paper.

  2. Sieve flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

  3. Soften the jam, by mixing it.

  4. In a large mixing bowl, beat sugar, butter and oil.

  5. Add condensed milk and whisk very well.

  6. In a cup mix milk, vinegar, baking soda and vanilla essence and rest for 5 minutes.

  7. Add half the milk and add maida mixture and mix well.

  8. Add rest of the milk and mix very well.

  9. Pour the cake batter gently into the prepared baking tray, tap the tray, to get rid of the air bubbles.

  10. Place the cake tray inside the preheated oven and bake at 180°C for 5 to 10 minutes according to your oven.

  11. Remove the cake tray, slightly cool down and using a tea strainer sprinkle icing sugar all over the cake, place a butter paper on top and then flip the cake tray.

  12. Peel off the butter paper and spread the jam evenly on top of the cake.

  13. Start rolling the Swiss roll into a log shape till end along with butter paper.

  14. Add another butter paper and roll it.

  15. Place the Swiss roll in the freezer for 3 hour. Unroll the Swiss roll, and cut the roll into slices.

Tips-

  1. Select the proper size thin, rectangular pan, if batter is too much and using small pan or too less and using a bigger pan, will cause problems in rolling the cake.

  2. Do not over-bake this cake, else it will become dry and crack and be difficult to roll.

  3. You can fill these cakes with anything you like, any jam, nutella, any icing etc.

  4. You can use any homemade or store bought jam, I have used home made strawberry jam.

  5. For clean slices, slice after keeping it refrigerators for 3-4 hours.
