Homemade Turmeric tea powder

Best Tea to Drink In the morning for a boost Into The Day. it is my original turmeric tea powder recipe. In Winters I drink this tea daily to protect congestion, sore throat and cough . It is perfect to get rid of toxins in our body. In Ayurveda, turmeric is a powerful spice.I love loading my teas with loads of anti-inflammatory herbs like ginger powder, cloves, cinnamon to keep inflammation down and the immune system healthy. I also add Aswagandha powder an ancient medicinal herb, boost brain function and and help fight symptoms of anxiety and depression .This tea also helps in relieving bloating, boosts metabolism and prevents illness.

It is very easy to make, add 1/4 t Sp. tea powder in boil water, add lemon juice and your tea is ready. you can also make ice tea or turmeric late with this tea powder.

Preparation time 10 minutes

Dehydration Time 24 hours

Ingredients-

For turmeric tea powder-

  • Fresh turmeric roots- 7-8

  • cloves 4

  • Black pepper 2

  • cinnamon powder 1/2 t Sp.

  • Ginger powder 1/2 t Sp.

  • Nutmeg Powder 1/4 t Sp,

  • Green cardamon 5

  • Tej patta 1/2

  • Ashwagandha powder 1/2 t Sp.[optional]

  • Dry basil powder 1 t Sp.


For turmeric tea-[ serving for-2 ]

Tea powder-1/2 t Sp.

Lemon juice 2 t Sp.

Honey 1 t Sp,[optional]

How to make turmeric tea powder-

  1. Peel fresh turmeric, grate and dry in sunlight or dry in dehydrator.

  2. Add dry turmeric and all spices in a grinder jar and grind into powder.

  3. Store in airtight jar for 6 to 8 months.

How to Make Turmeric Tea-

  1. In a pan add 2 and half cup of water.

  2. Add 1/2 t Sp. turmeric tea powder and boil for 2 minutes.

  3. Add lemon juice.

  4. Strain, if you want add honey.

  5. Enjoy hot.

  6. For turmeric ice tea cool down, add honey and lemon juice.

  7. In a tall glass add 3-4 ice cubes and pour turmeric tea over it, serve chilled.

Tips-

  1. You can dry turmeric in dehydrator or microwave oven.

  2. You can add or skip spices of your choice.

  3. You can also make turmeric ice tea.

Step By Step recipe of Turmeric Tea-
