Rajma Tikki[Kidney Beans cutlets]


Make your snack time healthy and nutritive with these rajma cutlets. The outer layer of This healthy and delicious tikkis was so crispy and the inner part is soft and melts in the mouth. It is prepared with boiled potatoes, boiled rajma, oats, Paneer, and spices. It is a wonderful breakfast or tea time snack. It can also use as tikkis in burgers, dinner rolls, or wraps. It is a high protein snack and good for weight watchers.

Ingredients-

  • 1 cup Rajma or kidney beans

  • 2 Boiled Potatoes

  • 2 Green Chilies

  • 1/2 cup paneer

  • 2 tab sp. Oats

  • 1 tab sp. garlic finely chopped

  • 1 tab sp. Coriander leaves finely chopped

  • 1/2 t sp. garam masala

  • 1 tab Sp. Cornflour

  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs

  • Salt to taste

How to Make-

  1. Soak the rajma in enough water at least 6-7 hours.

  2. Pressure cook rajma along with water for a whistle on high flame, simmer the flame, and cook for10 minutes.

  3. Release the steam and drain excess water, slightly cool down.

  4. In a food processor add all ingredients and mix well.

  5. Shape the cutlet round, oval as you like. For tikkis shape into small rounds balls, and flatten them.

  6. For slurry, in a bowl add cornflour and water and mix very well.

  7. Coat tikki with slurry and roll into bread crumbs.

  8. Preheat a tava or flat-bottom pan, and cook the cutlet with little oil on both sides till golden and crisp.

  9. Remove fried tikkis from and drain onto an absorbent paper.

  10. Serve hot with tomato ketchup or green chutney.

Tips-

  1. You can deep fry or shallow fry tikkis. if you don’t like fried food, then feel free to bake them.

  2. You can also make rajma tikki chaat with curd, ragda, green chutney, and sweet tamarind chutney.

  3. You can make a burger with this healthy rajma tikki, arrange this tikki on the bottom of the bun, top with lettuce, cheese slice, mayonnaise, and tomato ketchup.

Step By Step Recipe of Rajma Tikki-
