Khoya or Mava is milk that is evaporated to a solid consistency by thickening it. It has a slightly oily or granular texture, and a rich nutty flavor. It is mostly used to make sweet dishes and desserts. It is a very good source of vitamin D, vitamin B12,calcium and vitamin K. Now days we can not trust khoya, available in the market. There are many harmful ingredients like urea, palm oil or detergent are added to give a thick and rich texture to mawa.
