Mac Cheese ball

Fried Mac and Cheese Balls are the perfect finger food for your party! Crunchy on the outside and soft, creamy and cheesy inside. Your kids will fall in love with these fried macaroni and cheese balls all over again.


Ingredients-


  • 1/2 Cup Macaroni

  • 1 small Onion

  • 1 grated Carrot

  • 1/4 cup Red and green Capsicum finely chopped

  • 1 tab Sp. Sweet corn

  • 1 tsp. Garlic finely chopped

  • 3 tsp. Olive oil

  • 1 tab Sp. Butter

  • 2 tsp. Maida

  • 3/4 cup Milk

  • 1/2 Cup Cheese

  • 1 tsp. Oregano

  • 8-10 Basil leaves

  • 1 tab Sp. Corn flour

  • Bread Crumbs as needed

  • Salt and pepper to taste

How to Make-

  1. Boil water, add macaroni and cook until soft.

  2. In a pan heat oil, add garlic and saute for 1 minute.

  3. Add carrot, corn and capsicum and saute for 2 minutes.

  4. Add macaroni.

  5. Melt butter in a pan and mix 2 tsp flour into it.

  6. Add the milk gradually.

  7. Add macaroni and vegetable mixture.

  8. Add cheeses and cook until melted and thick.

  9. Season with salt and pepper.

  10. Add oregano and basil leaves, mix well.

  11. Take out in a bowl and cover with cling foil and refrigerate mixture for one hour.

  12. Take mixture out and make balls.

  13. Refrigerate for 1 hours.

  14. Dip balls in corn flour slurry, then breadcrumbs.

  15. Deep fry in hot oil, on medium or low flame, until golden brown on both sides.

Tips-

  1. You can also add vegetables like broccoli zucchini etc.

  2. You can also make these balls with leftover macaroni, shape them into small balls and cover with cling foil and take it to the freezer overnight. The next day, dip into corn flour slurry then bread crumbs and deep fry till golden.

  3. Always fry them on medium low heat so they don’t burn on the outside.

  4. You can bake these balls instead of frying. Place balls on baking sheet, freeze for two hours than bake until crisp and browned.

Step By Step Recipe of Macaroni cheese Ball-
