Noodles Munchurian Nest:

Next time you make veg Manchurian, why not serve it in a graceful. Veg Manchurian is one of the most popular Indo Chinese dish, serve with fried rice or noodles. Noodles Manchurian basket is a different way to serve this traditional dish. You can make your own fried basket or baked basket with noodles (Chinese noodles or maggie noodles]. It can be a simple evening snack and an amazing starter before dinner. The blend of Indo-Chinese flavours makes the dish scrumptious.

Ingredients-

For basket:

  • 2 cup boiled noodles

  • Muffin tray

For Manchurian Balls:

  • 1 Onion Chopped

  • 1/4 cup Spring Onion Greens Chopped

  • 1/2 cups Cabbage Chopped

  • 1/2 cup Capsicum Chopped

  • 1/2 cup Carrots Chopped

  • 6 Beans Chopped

  • 1 tsp Salt

  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper Powder

  • 1 inch Ginger

  • 5-6 Garlic pieces

  • 2 tbsp Maida

  • 2 tbsp Cornflour

For the gravy

  • 1 tbsp Vegetable Oil

  • 1/4 cup Spring Onion White Sliced

  • 1 tSp. Ginger Finely Chopped

  • 1 t Sp. Garlic Finely Chopped

  • 1 tsp Green Chilli Finely Chopped[optional]

  • 1 Onion Cubed

  • 1 Capsicum Cubed

  • 1 tbsp Soy Sauce

  • 1 tbsp Vinegar

  • 1/2 tbsp Red Chilli Sauce

  • 1/2 tbsp Tomato Ketchup

  • 1 cups Water

  • Salt to taste

  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper Powder

  • 1 tbsp Cornflour

  • 2 tbsp Water

How to make Balls:

  1. Add all the vegetables in a food processor and chop finely.

  2. Transfer the veggies in a bowl and add all ingredients of Manchurian balls.

  3. Heat oil, and apply some oil in your palms and make small balls.

  4. Fry the balls on medium-low heat until they are slightly browned.

  5. Place ball on an absorbent paper.

  6. Now double fry the balls till golden brown.

  7. Drain and keep aside.

Tip- The vegetables must be finely chopped to make proper veg balls. You can chop in a food processor.

For the gravy:

  1. Heat oil in a wok, add green onion white, ginger and garlic and fry for a minute.

  2. Add green chillies, onion and capsicum and fry for a few seconds.

  3. Add soy sauce, vinegar, red chilli sauce, tomato ketchup and water and bring the mixture to a boil.

  4. Add salt and pepper and mix well.

  5. Mix cornflour in 4 tbsp water and add the slurry in the pan.

  6. Cook until the sauce thiken.

For Noodles Basket

  1. Preheat oven to 180C. Lightly grease a muffin tray.

  2. Boil noodles as directed on a packet, drain then rinse under cold water. Place in a bowl.

  3. Arrange some noodles in the muffin tray wall and press them.

  4. Bake till golden.

How to Serve-

  1. Arrange basket on a plate.

  2. Spread 1 t Sp. gravy in the basket.

  3. Place Manchurian in the centre.

  4. Fill with gravy.

  5. Garnish with spring onion.

You can also serve:

  1. In a bowl, mix fruits chunks like pineapple, mango, grapes with mayonnaise. Fill the noodle baskets with this filling and garnish with lettuce leaves and cherry tomatoes.

  2. You can be filled with a warm and crunchy vegetable stir-fry-made from baby corn, bean sprouts, and french beans.

Step By Step Recipe of Noodles basket:
