Patal Poha Chivda


A quick and easy savory healthy snack. . It is mostly made for special occasions like Diwali.

Ingredients-

  • Patal Poha 1/2 Kg.

  • Ground Nut 1 Cup

  • Roasted Chana Dal 1/2 Cup

  • Dry Coconut slices 1/4 cup

  • Green Chili 4

  • Kari Patta 10-12

  • Garlic Cloves 8

  • Mustard seeds 1 t Sp.

  • Cumin Seeds 1 t Sp.

  • Asafoetida 1/4 t Sp.

  • Oil 2 tab Sp.

  • Chat masala 2 t Sp.

  • Turmeric Powder 2-3 t Sp.

  • Salt to taste

How to Make-

  1. Clean Poha, cut green chili in slits,wash curry pattas,cut coconut in thin slices.

  2. In a large pan heat oil, add Asafoetida mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry pattas, green chili, garlic and roast for 2 minutes.

  3. Add groundnuts and coconut slices and fry till crisp.

  4. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder and mix well.

  5. Add patak poha, salt, chat masala and roast on low flame for 10 min or till crisp.

  6. Cool down and store in air tight container.
