Pita Bread

Total Time- 30 minutes


Ingredients-

  • 1 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 2-3 tsp. Vegetable oil

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons white sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast

  • 2 tsp. Sesame Seeds

  • 2 tsp. Onion Seeds

  • Warm water for kneading

How to Make-

1. In a pan add all ingredients and knead soft dough.

2. Place dough onto a lightly floured surface. Gently roll and stretch into a roll.

3. With a sharp knife, divide dough into 4 pieces.

4. Cover with a towel. Let pitas rise about 30 minutes until slightly puffy.

5. Roll each into a smooth ball and roll out with sesame and onion seeds

6. Roll each ball into a 6 inch circle.

7. Place on a baking tray and bake at 200 degree for 4 to 5 minutes until tops begin to brown.

8. Take out from the oven cut into pieces and serve.

9. They can be stored in a plastic bag in the refrigerator for several days.
