Semolina Coconut Barfi

Serving-------------- 15 pieces

Ingredients-

Rava-1/2 cup

Desiccated coconut-1/2 cup cup

Besan-1/4 cup

sugar-1 cup

Milk---1/2 cup

Ghee- 6 tab Sp.

cardamom powder-1/4 tsp.

Dry nuts finely chopped-1 tab Sp.

How to Make-

  1. Heat 2 tab sp. ghee in a heavy bottom pan add rava and roast 2-3 min.

  2. Add besan and roast till nice aroma comes out. stir continuously.

  3. Add coconut, sugar and mix well.

  4. Add milk and cook continuously on low flame.

  5. Add another 2 tab Sp. ghee and cook till halwa like consistency. When mixture begins to leave the pan add rest of ghee and stir well. Add cardamom powder and mix well.

  6. When mixture leaves the pan and dough like consistency, transfer it in a greased tray.

  7. Spread dry nuts over it.

  8. Cool down and cut into shape of your choice.

Shelf life- 7 to 10 days without refrigerator.

In refrigerator 1 month.

Tips-

  1. Always cook in heavy bottom pan.

  2. Always cook on a low to medium heat otherwise colour will be changed.

  3. When cook stir continuously.

  4. You can add mava or khoya instead of milk.
