Semolina Strawberry shots Dessert

In my childhood when we had started craving sugar, my mother made semolina halva or semolina porridge and it was the tastiest dessert in the whole world. Now I am recreated same recipe, which is very simple to make and children will love it.

Ingredients-

For Semolina pudding-

Semolina--------------- 1/4 cup

Ghee------------------------1 t sp.

Milk----------------------- 1 cup

jaggery----------------- -- 3 t Sp.

Strawberry Sauce-

Strawberry------------- 1 cup

Sugar or honey------- 2 t Sp

Cream-------------------- 1/2 cup

Chopped dry nuts--- 2 t Sp.

Strawberry for garnish--2

How to Make-

Semolina Pudding-

  1. In a pan roast semolina with ghee.

  2. In a saucepan boil the milk over a medium heat.

  3. Lower the heat and add semolina and jaggery. Cook, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.

  4. Remove from the heat and pour into a shot glasses[ fill glasses 1/4]

  5. Let it cool down for a while and keep in refrigerator for 1 hour.

For Strawberry Sauce-

  1. Chop strawberry into small pieces.

  2. In a pan add sugar or honey and strawberry pieces and cook on low heat till soft.

  3. Add cream and mix well.

  4. Pour over semolina pudding.

  5. Let it cool down and keep in refrigerator until set.

  6. Garnish with whipped cream, dry nuts and strawberry slices.

Tips-

  1. you can take any nondairy milk like almond milk or coconut milk.

  2. You can use any berries, Sometimes I use frozen berries also.

  3. For healthier option, You can add chia seeds and more dry nuts.

  4. You can add one scope ice cream over it and garnish with strawberry slices.
