Shahi Paneer Cutlets

Shahi Paneer cutlet is a healthier option of vegetable cutlet. It is soft inside and crisp from outside. Dry nuts and coconut give a royal texture to these cutlets, hence I named these cutlets Shahi Paneer Cutlets. I used left over boiled rice which is a very good binding agent and made them crisp. If you do not have boiled rice you can add rice flour also. I have cooked these cutlets on hot tava with less oil but it can be baked in the oven also. Do not deep fry them because these cutlets are very soft and may get broken while frying.


  • Paneer 1 cup mashed

  • Boiled Rice 1 cup mashed

  • Bread slice 1

  • Onion finely chopped 1

  • Green Chili 2

  • Garlic cloves 5 finely chopped

  • Coriander leaves 1/2 cup

  • Carrot Grated 1/2 cup

  • Red Capsicum finely chopped 1 tab Sp.

  • Grated fresh Coconut 2 tab Sp.

  • Kishmish, chironji 1/2 tab Sp.

  • Salt to taste

  • Black pepper 1/2 t Sp.

  • Oil for frying

How to Make-

  1. In a bowl, add all ingredients except oil and make a dough.

  2. Shape them like cutlets.

  3. Heat a tawa, add 1 teaspoon oil to each cutlet..

  4. Cook till crisp and golden.
