Sweet Amla{Gooseberry] Dates chutney

Amla Dates Chutney is a healthy and nutritious substitute of imli date chutney. In every winter I made this chutney and store in the fridger and consume all over the year. It is a quick and easy way to include amla (gooseberries) in our daily meals.
Amla is a traditional Arurvedic medicine. All parts of the plant are used in various Arurvedic medicine for herbal preparations but it does leave behind a pungent taste. In this recipe dates and spices added a wonderful flavor.
Ingredients-
Amla or gooseberry- 250 gm.
Dates 1 cup
Jaggery 1 cup or to taste
Heeng 1/4 t Sp.
Black salt 1 t Sp.
Salt to taste
Roasted Cumin Powder 1 t Sp.
Red Chili Powder 1/2 t Sp.
Dry Pudina powder 1 t Sp.
How to Make-
Soak dates in little water. Remove seeds.
In pressure cooker add amlas and ½ cup water. Cook for 3 whistle.
Release steam and strain.
Remove the seeds from amla and ground with dates in a mixer jar to make a fine paste.
In a pan add amla date paste, jaggery and all spices and cook on low flame.
Stir and mix well.
Keep stirring at regular intervals,until it gets little thick in consistency.
Store in air tight jar. It will stay fresh 5-6 days and in refrigerator till one month.
Enjoy with fried snacks, chat, bhelpuri etc.
Tips-
You can store in fridger for whole year. When you want to use, keep it out, add some warm water, mix well, your chutney is ready.
You can sugar instead of jaggery.
