Tamarind Virgin Mojito-

Tamarind is a sour-sweet fruit pod. It is extensively used in Indian and African cuisines. Tamrind mostly uses in sauces, marinades, chutneys and traditional medicines. Tamarind contains vitamins, minerals, amino acids and beneficial plant compounds. Tamarind has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. it was commonly used to treat diarrhea, constipation and other ailments. Tamarind has traditionally been used as a laxative. It is also useful in weight loss and fatty liver. It has anti-fungal, antiviral and antibacterial effects, but how we can enjoy this fruit? There are various ways you can use tamarind in your cooking.

Tamarind virgin Mojito

Ingredients-

Seedless tamarind 1/4 Cup

Jaggery powder 1/2 Cup

Black salt 1 t Sp.

Pink or white salt to taste

Roasted cumin powder 2 t Sp.

Mint Powder 2 t Sp.

Water 1 glass

Rose Syrup or Rooh Afja .[optional]

Ice cubes

Sprite , limca or any lemon flavor aerated drink

Mint leaves and lemon slices for garnish

How to Make-

  1. Soak tamarind in warm water till soft, churn in a grinder, rub,mash and Put it in a strainer and extract the Imli pulp.

  2. Now, take extracted Imli pulp in a container, add water, Jaggery powder, roasted cumin powder, black salt and mint powder, mix well till jeggery powder dissolves.

How to Serve-

Add some ice cubes in glasses, pour the ready extract in tall glasses, fill with lemon flavor aerated drink and garnish with lemon slices and mint leaves. you can also add rose syrup for nice flavor.

Step By Step Recipe of Tamarind sharbat-

Soak tamarind in warm water till soft, churn in a grinder, rub,mash and Put it in a strainer and extract the Imli pulp.

Now, take extracted Imli pulp in a container, add water, Jaggery powder, roasted jeera powder, black salt and pudina powder, mix well till till jeggery powder dissolves. Add some ice cubes in glasses, pour the ready extract in tall glasses, fill with lemon flavor aerated drink and garnish with lemon slices and mint leaves.

Serve chilled.
