Turmeric Cinnamon Lemonade

Healthy, delicious, anti-inflammatory drink. Every day, a glass of this summer drink will benefit your body in wonderful ways.

I can not imagine a summer without refreshing summer drinks and tried so many flavors for the last few years but this year I have tried a very interesting nonalcoholic lemonade to enjoy the hottest day of summer, with bright yellow-orange spice turmeric commonly used in Indian food. I had no idea, this lemonade would become so in demand!

I love this recipe very much because of its refreshing aroma and with amazing taste, neither bitter nor sweet. I think It is a healthy and refreshing alternative to regular summer drink because it has amazing healthy ingredients and we do not add any soda or aerated drink in it.

The main ingredient Turmeric has anti-bacterial property, aid with digestion, reduce respiratory symptoms, help with headaches, reduce nausea and dizziness. Lemon is a good source of vitamin C, promotes hydration, and also helpful in weight loss. Cinnamon is one of the most beneficial spices. It has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory properties.

It is a perfect detox drink also. You can make this drink into large batches and keep it in the refrigerator, sip slowly through the day.

Ingredients-

  • 2 glass water

  • 1/2 t Sp.Turmeric

  • 1 small Cinnamon stick

  • 1/2 cup Orange juice

  • 1 lemon Lemon Juice

  • 1 lemon slices

  • 8 Basil leaves or Mint leaves

  • 1-2 t Sp. Honey

How to Make-

  1. Place water in a saucepan over high heat. Add turmeric and cinnamon stick and whisk.

  2. After boiling, reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.

  3. Remove from heat and let cool. Add honey and stir well.

  4. Add orange juice lemon juice. Whisk again and pour over ice.

  5. Garnish with lemon slices and basil leaves.

Tips-

  1. You can adjust the flavors, like a stronger lemon flavor or sweetness.

  2. If you’re planning to make a larger batch of this drink, just note that after a day or so in the fridge you’ll need to shake it and then strain into glass.

Step By Step Recipe of Turmeric Iced Tea-

Place water in a saucepan over high heat. Add turmeric and cinnamon stick and whisk. After boiling, reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. After boiling, reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool. Add honey and stir well. Add orange juice lemon juice. Whisk again and pour over ice.

Garnish with lemon slices and basil leaves.
